Bee Feast

The flower is gone now, along with most of my garden. Lots of critters had a feast of those sunflowers though and they brought me joy ;)

Web Development & Flash

I made that title because well, it's supposed to be apt and catch the eye, so there it is! I've been building a website for a friend in Flash. I know my Flash pretty well, or so I thought but that actionscript can be so tricky. I breathed a sigh of relief today when I got to code in good old html. Felt like returning to an old friend.

This is the second site I made for friends and I know so much more than the first time. Since I solved a huge snag I had today I'm feeling rather proud and thought I'd share them. This was the first one and the very first time I attempted an entire site done in Flash. It's actually pretty cool, you can import everything in xml files so the owner can update those with images and text without having to own Flash.

This is my latest and it's incomplete yet but it won't be long now that I solved the snag I was having. I plan on redoing my site at some point but so many interesting things get in the way. Plus I signed up for the Asp class this term. I expect it to be just as challenging as the php one was. Challenging is good, I love this stuff ;)

I hate thieves

To put it politely I now live in a marginal neighborhood. These folks get their entertainment setting off fireworks that they can't afford, hour after hour. And stealing anything not locked down. Last year someone stole my city issued dumpster. Why didn't they just call and ask for one? Now they have taken my two trash cans that have my address painted on them. Christ that's stupid. I can't wait until I can get the rest of my yard secured with a good fence and big f'ing padlocks. I want to move, I hate this place. If they'd quit buying fireworks, drugs and booze they'd be able to afford their own trash cans. The kids have no respect for others property, but why should they? They have such great role models. The guy 2 doors down hanging with his friends in the backyard, his little kids playing out there and every other word out of his mouth is motherf***er. Yep, no wonder the world is going to hell.
